Just curious if there is any documentation out there that talks about how quickly the bacteria divide through Mitosis.

I've heard 3-4 weeks with Babs and Bart, but I'm just hearing it. I can't find any literature that backs it up.

I hear Lyme replicated even faster.

I have heard it takes 12-14 hours for the Bb spirrochete to divide but the actual reproduction cycle is around 28 days. That always confused me.

I swear I researched this about a year ago (at least for Lyme), and now I have already forgotten what I found out.

I DO know that it can vary depending on in vitro vs in vivo, and depends on species and strains, and environment. Perhaps this is why we don't have any hard numbers? I know the one thing they are certain of is that it takes a much longer time to replicate than most other bacteria.

I'll try to look into this tomorrow, and the other co-infections too. This is a very important set of data for us to know.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge about this, and hopefully some documentation, will see this and respond.
