I just restarted babs treatment with malarone ad I would just like to get some feedback from others on what thier babs herx felt like??

I have chest tightness/airhunger. This increased alot when I came off plaquinel and low dose malarone.

I have been a little on the fence about having babs but I have just recently started to take it more seriously. I am on IV ricephin 3 months now, I also just got over a god awful herx on levaquin which I bumped up from 500 mg to 750 mg with no problems.

I have been off all babs treatment for 3 weeks now.

Today I decided to go for a "shock and awe" approach on babs by taking 2 tabs with a big fatty fry up breakfast. I will take another two with dinner.

I have only ever taken 1 tab twice daily for a few weeks, and mostly did only 1 tab daily. For the most part it kept my chest tightness air hunger under control but clearly is not curitive. I never really had night sweats as part of my illness but I do respond to artemsia.

Its only 3 hours in and I am feeling a response in the chest and back.

I will keep posted on how it goes. I am hoping this approach will clarify once and for all if I am dealing with a babs or babs like co-infection.

Anyone have any experience with this approach?? any thoughts??

Hi Tosho,

Are you taking the Malarone as 2 and 2??
Funny you should mention that about the arm pit sweating. In the last 2 weeks along with bouts of chest tightness/air hunger, I have had crazy sweaty arm pits with bad Body odour. This is very unusual for me.

I think any kind of chest tightness that appears and disappears is pretty relative. PM me your source for Mepron. Might have to bite the bullet on that one.

6 malarone a day is a 200 euro a week habit. I can't afford that.
