Just wanted to know if anyone else has body clock issues.

No matter how tired I am, I can't go to sleep until at least 2 in the morning.

This is getting very old, and just want to go to sleep.

My mom says I should get doc to call something in-Tylenol PM is not working-it does make me sleepy for an hour, but wears off.

Any suggestions for anything I could try-and no I can't do physical activity right now-please see my other post on board, and from my experience it does not help anyway.

Thanks All

I had to take mega-drugs for sleep when I was sick. I still take some herbs that are good, but nothing like the meds I took.

I took either Ambien or Lunesta WITH two Lyrica. The Ambien or Lunesta would put me to sleep, the Lyrica would keep me sleeping through the night.

I have the same problem. It does feel like a body clock thing since I seem to be able to get to sleep around 2 and then sleep 8 hours.

Fortunately I usually don't have anything right away in the morning.

I also get sleepy enough for a nap in the afternoon. Thinking this keeps me up, I forgo the nap, but it doesn't make any difference.

In reading Burrascano,he urges the need for good sleep, whenever you can get it, so I am not too concerned.

I just try to enjoy my time in the middle of the night [Smile]

I am the same as you ---taking Benedryl, etc. will put me to sleep but wears off and I am up.

So many things like this just seem to be.... go with the flow if you possibly can.

I'll keep reading this post to see if anyone has a great solution.

An AmbienCR helps me get to sleep. The "CR" stands for controlled-release so it keeps you asleep all night.

Well, I've tried lots of things over the years including Lunesta and Ambien CR.

I think my sleep problems are due to the Lyme and cos.

Now I take Cortisol Manager to lower my cortisol level and Trezadone. This is a great combination for me.

The Trezadone is what my mom says I need to get called in by my doc-her doc prescribed it for her 2 weeks ago,

but the reason she can't sleep is alot of life problems.

She says it really helps her so I will ask him to, just don't know what he will say.

I have been taking the Lyrica now in middle of night when I get desperate, and I think it is helping, so I think I will take it earlier now to see if it works.

People tell me, "You don't have to work so what is the big deal?"....Urghhhhhhhhhhhh

Sleep has to be vital when you are so sick!

The only one concerned is my mom!

Thanks for all of the replies!

I always wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning now and usually can't go back to sleep.

One of the biggest lyme problems. I never had a sleep problem until I got sleep. I have never even had insomnia.

I tried a million sleep aid before we knew that it way lyme. The only thing that ever worked and continues to work for me is Ativan. I know a lot of people will tell you not to go to the benzos, but is all that has helped. I haven't increased the dose really. It is very low.

Best of luck. I think my sleep has improved with treatment.
