I get burning sensations on my shins and tops of feet. It comes and goes, but starting yesterday I've notice a new burning "patch" on my right upper thigh.

I've also been getting the skin pain especially on my arms.

What causes this and is it related to lyme? It is annoying!

I think it is neuropathy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuropathy

Most likely Lyme doing a number on your nerves in your body. Do you also get muscle spasms?

I get this burning really bad all over! It's getting better since treatment. Been treating for about 8 months.

Burning skin on bottoms of my feet, back of calf muscles, stomach, & face was 1 of my first symptoms.

It was accompanied by muscle twitches in calf muscles & deep muscle pain and floaters in my eyes.

Doc said its neuro lyme---its 30 to 40% better after 3 years of treatment.

I have burning pain in my arms, hands, legs, and feet. Rarely in my torso. At first when I got it if I was cold it felt more like stinging and when warm - the burning. It feels like someone smacked a really bad sunburn (my friends you to think that was funny [Roll Eyes] ).

i have this , started with the cognative issues i think. i got slammed with neruo onset. for me, the burning is much worse with say, a hot shower in am before meds have kicked in. brings it back and esp to calves.

for me, cymbalta and progressive increases in neruontin have helped ALOT !! now only rears its head at times instead of every day (like hot shower in am- or at times when in hot tub)

Today I'm burning horribly. The top of my left foot hurts so bad. It hurts just to touch it. I guess I would call it skin pain. Then my shins are burning as well.

What can I do for it?

weird, I get this almost full body but mostly on my face/scalp/tongue and sometimes on my calves and it's almost totally debilitating.

burning/itching/crawling skin is not fun. Epsom baths used to help but now I think they cause more flare ups, or the warm water from the bath does. Sitting in front of a fan seems to be the only thing that helps.

B12 injection, soak in Epsom salts, pinch of salt

in the mouth? I have tried all three. I know it is

crazy but I have done the salt for heart symptoms

and extreme nausea-it works. Last week I was out

to eat-got so sick I about to barf, tears and

all. I grabbed the shaker at the diner and poured

a spoonful in my hand and ate it. Instantly

nausea disappeared. And 30 mins. later I could

eat. I think some of our neuro symptoms could be

caused by electrolyte imbalance.
