Wobenzyme was developed by someone with Tinitis. It is strong so you may want to start off slow.

- Have you started on a new antibiotic?
Around the time this began, any new meds, new carpet, paint, new car, etc?
Loud concerts, loud club music or using headphones at a volume that others can hear on the next block?
Tinnitus (ringing, hissing, whirring in the ears) can be caused by lyme, lyme toxins, other toxins (heavy metals, certain medicines) that are ototoxic), liver stress, aspartame, MSG, chemical exposures, exposure to loud sounds (even if from decades ago, it can just "catch up").
If this is from lyme itself, treatment should help, but LIVER protection is vital to help the liver get out the toxins from spirochete die-off (herx) and to help protect against the effects of the abx on the liver.
Minocycline, Azithromycin, and Biaxin are 3 abx that can be fine for some patients but, in other patients, cause lots of ear trouble. In such a case, the LLMD can usually change the Rx.
Rx for babesia and bartonella can sometimes cause ear symptoms, too.
Also, look up every med you take and see if tinnitus is a side-effect. Sadly, it is a common side effect of MANY drugs and my ears smoke every time I see a new connection.
Tinnitus can have many causes, some from the auditory nerves, some from cranial nerves (esp. 7 & 8) - or from parts of the brain - and from all things that affect any of those.
Magnesium should help. Medicines or supplements that "boost" energy usually do not help the ears as they can excite NMDA receptors.
Adrenal support is also key as exhaustion will also raise the NMDA excitatory receptors as much as toxins can.
Backing up, the first order of business is what might be called hearing hygiene. Protect your ears.
It is advised to get rid of all chemicals in your environment, go scent-free with household and kitchen cleaners and personal care products.
Check out the ATA site for hearing safety and be sure to follow ALL precautions such as avoiding aspirin, avoid loud noise (also know that abx can lower the volume at which sound can damage ears so ear plugs around the hairdryer, vacuum, etc . . . and around traffic, etc.)
