Can't melatonin help bring some hair color back?
Since getting sick and doing treatment I've lost a lot of hair and my hair has a dead look to it now.
Anyone have any suggestions : ) I used to be so darn cute

Hair loss is common in low thyroid. Melanin and Melatonin are not the same thing.
The mela means dark.
Nite hormone melatonin and dark pigment melanin.

My doctor just reviewed with me that it is very important and maybe even a huge link for use sick people to find the right antioxidant formula.
He will be doing testing for oxidative stress and will recommend a special formula that has proven results..
From what I understand.
Anyway. at my next appt he said he should be set up for testing for patients and we will see how that goes and what will be prescribed.
Anyway.. This sujbect has been coming up alot lately. I am wondering why.. Is there a new wave of interest or an older idea coming back up??

Not that I know of. I am just looking to find what
may help me in preventing the biofilm. I already do
Nystatin 4 a day and added the E slowly uping the
last month, and think the melantonin may act as a
booster in the metabolization of the E. Or rather
the reaction I want from the E. Must be careful
with it though if you take blood thinners. As it
is a natural thinner also. Per literature.

I take melatonin, vit E and selenium, and a lot of other things.
But someone said we aren't supposed to take melatonin all the time , to prevent dependence on it? Is that true? Is there enough research? So i take melatonin part of the time. Also half the time i sleep well without it, and seem to need it as a sleep booster cyclicly if the insomnia gets bad.

Dr C in Mo and my daughter's PCP both said you can take melatonin on a regular basis. My concern was if your body would stop making it naturally, but they said that wasn't the case. My D has been on it for years along with other sleep aids.

I agree with your doc. I was wondering also if any suggested additions to boost activity at the cellular level. Does she take more than 10mg?
