The past couple weeks I've had many days where I have SO much weakness. I feel like all my energy has been zapped out of me. My legs feel like jello and are hard to stand on. IT takes everything to move. It comes and goes too.. i'll be okay one hour and the next about to collapse.

My body just feels complety whipped. Sick of this. Also am pretty sure I have a yeast issue. My tongue hurts and has white on the very back of it. My head is foggy and the dizziness is horrible. Could this weakness be from yeast? Also having more muscle twitching too.

Def feeling worse on my new protocol of Amox, Zith and Flagyl.

Wondering if I should change meds or something. I have an appt tomorrow with LLMD and will be asking him many questions regarding yeast, thyroid, IV abx, and etc...

My Gp saw my tongue and didn't say anything about yeast...just kinda shrugged it off. I am taking liquid Nystatin and high quality probiotics so I don't know. I'm trying to avoid sugary foods, but am finding it really hard.

Thanks.

http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/

I found that adrenal fatigue played a huge role in my lyme condition....in fact weak adrenal glands may even have made me susceptible to chronic lyme. I recall symptoms of increasing hypoglcemia, aching back...headaches...etc...before I got really sick with the flu like illness.

I had been rushing my kids around from school to cub scouts to baseball...etc. I would forget to eat at proper times and drink coffee for quick energy.

I have the book Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome, which is very helpful and check out this website which tells about the functions of the adrenals...and the symptoms of adrenal fatigue. http://www.becomehealthynow.com/ebookprint.php?id=679

Worn out adrenals can even affect the thyroid. Lyme disease can be but another stress that our body can't keep under control when the adrenals are weak.

Weak adrenals can be the cause of Postural orthostatic tachycardia, low blood pressure, difficulty building muscle, low body temp and on and on and on

Stinging Nettles are a very potent cheap remedy for weak adrenals. You can grow them yourself without much effort.

Thank you daystar,
I'm sure I have adrenal fatigue.. I get the hypoglycemic "like" attacks and other symptoms including the low body temp, weakenss, etc... How do I get tested for this? My GP tested my am cortisol levels and it came back normal.. she said I didn't have adrenal fatigue. I still think I do.

My LLMD didn't mention it either even after I told him of my hypoglycemic attacks.

Are there certain supplements that help support the adrenals?

Thanks again.

I have little doubt it's Babesia. I've decided to start treating Babs more aggressively. I babied around for months with LLMD's Rxing 1/4 tsp of Mepron or 1-2 Malarone and got nowhere. I'm now pounding Mepron and high-dose Zithromax.

I'm starting to have more days where my energy is going up and I feel alive a bit more. I herxed bad yesterday with all kinds of weird tingling in my face and numb-type feelings, but generally I believe something may be happening. Over the weekend, I waa able to walk through two large department stores. A 'miracle' for me. [Smile]

I need to be able to get up to 3+ tsp. I'm only at 2 tsp daily right now. I'm told by my ID doc to do this for a while and lessen the Babesia load. The next catch will be my doc won't Rx this as long as I probably need it. [Frown]

The trouble is...that if we don't address why are bodies are weak and allowed the infections to take hold then we will have to continue forever taking antibiotics and other things that kill the bugs.

Our immune systems should be doing it. I am hoping to be able to stick to a fairly low carb unprocessed diet(to lessen the stress on the glands) so that I can cut out the antibiotics at some point.

Natural Vitamin C, licorice root, Siberian Ginseng, Nettles.......B vitamins....magnesium...are some of the things you can take to help build the adrenals but you also need to avoid stress.

I notice that as long as I pace myself...refuse to do too many things in a row, do and watch things that make me laugh, go for relaxing walks, listen to soothing music, put aside time to just be with God, surround myself with soothing colors...etc.....that I do extra well.
