AntiThyroglobulin Ab < 20
**0-40 range**

Thyroid Peroxidase TPO 9
**0-34 range**

TSH 2.530
**0.450-4.5 range**

Reverse T3 311
**90-350 range**

Tri, free, Serum 2.2
**2.0-4.4 range**

Can anybody give their opinion as to what's going on?

Hashi's? No?

My 2 biggest symptoms are hair falling out/thinning and malabsorption/weight loss.

My LLMD wanted my TSH to be below 1. He said that many of us feel better when it's in the lower part of the range.

My current PCP uses basal temps to monitor my thyroid. Temp first thing in the morning should be 97.8 or higher. I think the temp is a better indicator because it's actually a symptom rather than relying on blood work.

Looks like the reverse T3 is in the high part of the range .... don't know what that means, just noticed it. [Smile]

Ya, I've been testing my temp in the mornings.

In the last week I've avg'ed 96.5

: (

I did however just start my thyroid supporting supplements (not armour or synthroid)

Just a supporting supplement. Kelp = iodine, Vit A, etc etc

That's not a good afternoon temp. It looks like a T4~>T3 conversion issue.

How's your IGF-1 level? Low GH can cause conversion issues.

Oh I know I have thyroid issues.

I just don't know what to do about it.

Some people go on armour...

My nutritionist started me on Med Caps T3 by Xymogen
and Adaptocrine (for adrenals)

The adaptocrine has worked wonders so far. And I just started the Med Caps T3 a couple days ago.

These things are supposed to help the conversion of T3/T4.

*shrugs shoulders*
This thyroid mess is a beast of a ballgame to me.

So here in the next few weeks look for my temperature to rise more to normal?

Yeah, just try to sample those temps at regular times (3 times a day even) and keep a scorecard. If things don't budge, consider experimenting with T3 only.

I just started T3 only but I don't expect to see results for several weeks.

Make sure you're not using a digital thermometer. They aren't accurate a bit.

Those numbers don't look that bad. Your reverse T3 is a little high though.

I have hypothyroidism, but my hair is still falling out even after being treated for hypo and being in the right ranges. So hypo doesn't have to be the cause for your hair falling out.

Also, weight loss and malabsorption - have you been tested for food allergies/intolerances? You might want to be tested for gluten intolerance/celiac. That can cause weight loss and/or definite malabsorption issues. Plus, your hair could fall out from malabsorption and not getting the right nutrients in your body, etc.

disturb,

You're exactly right. And I am eating right. no wheat... no gluten.

My nutritionist said it's definitely malabsorption.

Sooooo.... WHAT DO I DO? lol
How do you treat malabsorption?

Parasites/tapeworms?

Has to be. I eat like a pig(a healthy pig) and don't gain a pound.

Rule out H Pylori too. Loading up on protein drinks doesn't hurt. Boost helps me even though it has sugar.
