My daughter just tested positive for Lymes with the westernblot test. This is all new to me, and I'm trying to figure this whole thing out. Her doctor put her on amox. 500mg 3x a day, but not sure for how long. I think she must have gotten bit about a year ago, and I think she is in the 3rd stage with all her symptoms. Anyone had/have a smililar situation? Need to find a specialist.

Check out www.ilads.org ... there are treatment guidelines on that page. You do need to find a specialist who will treat until your daughter is symptom-free.

Welcome to Lymenet!

Hi, welcome.
There is a seeking doctors folder here, you might get some answers if you post there too.

Treat until symptom-free. Go to ILADS.org and look under the contact link to find a good Lyme doctor. You can email or call them.

To start your study on LD -check the link below...tons of info there, look under the Resources link to be directed to many reliable sites on LD.
