I was drinking a lot of club soda recently -- like the bubbles -- and when I happened to look at what was in it I noticed it contains sodium bicarbonate. Isn't that essentially baking soda, and what some of us drink to make our bodies more alkalinized? If so, this is great, and why don't we hear more about it?

Hmmm...I don't know. But I think soda (like Coke) is supposed to make our bodies more acidc.....so I don't know if that would apply to club soda too or what? I've also heard soda can leach minerals from the body (maybe for the reason that it's acidic?). Again, don't know if that applies to club soda or just the sugary sodas.
So that is kinda confusing. Dunno.

Club soda is definitely not soda. They call it that as a slang word for someone not drinking. I think soda is defined by chemicals added....I don't think sodium bicarbonate is one?
Anyway, I just wondered if I should be swigging a lot of it to keep myself alkalinized...anyone have info?
