I have treated yeast before with Diflucan but never herxed like this. My LLMD had me stop abx completely to treat yeast for 20 days. I am one week in and the herx is pretty intense.

Could yeast cause full ears and foot pain? All these symptoms seem worse right now. My lower back is also killing me, which is typical with all herxing for me. I thought it was all related to bart...maybe not.

Such a crazy mess trying to figure out what is going on!

jennie; I had the same intense reaction when I started Nystatin a couple of weeks ago. Was in herx hell...

Now, I did stay on my abx.;s so I am pretty sure mine was a yeast herx.

To my surprise soooo many of my yeast herx symptoms were the same as my lyme symptoms, so now I am really wondering as well.

Is there a point when we suffer from candidas and less from lyme but are not aware of it because the two mirror each other in alot of ways?

Could you try stopping or reducing your Dif. dosage to see if your symptoms back down a bit. Just as a "test"?

SO hard to say since you made 2 changes at once.

All I can say is that I had and continue to experience some nasty herxing since I started Nystatin. Lots of body/bone/fibro. and neuro. stuff.

I think we can drive ourselves crazy just trying to figure this all out. Hope you feel better soon. TG

Who knows? The main thing that makes me think it's a herx is the nonstop back pain. I usually don't experience that, except with a herx. I guess there is no way to know for certain though.

I think I will skip Diflucan tomorrow and see if the symptoms improve.
