what do you do, between iv treatments daily, lyme psychologist, lyme psychiatrist, iv daily and your mind isn't stable? It used to be. On new psych meds, (same but lamictal added) and alone every day (in my mind). Taking klonapin to get me through, every 6 hours to function what I know I have to do. Does almost everyone live like this with this?

Stinks. You've been having such a hard time. I'm not doing iv and seem to have fewer brain issues, but, yes, I often get down that my life is just treating an illness and doing what I have to do to minimally function. I can't say it's enjoyable, at all, life right now. I take pleasure in what I can and remain optimistic for my future.

Putnam,

I'm sorry for what you're going through. I want to say that i completely understand where you're coming from.

Although I expereinced something very similar to what you seem to be going through several years ago before my diagnosis.

24/7 with these symptoms: severe debilitating anxiety, i had to be in perpetual motion in order to 'exist', lost a ton of weight in a very short time.

depersonalization, terrible. terrible.

and the worst form of OCD, in that i had horrific repetitive thoughts that I would harm my loved ones....this was the hardest to deal with....

That you are aware of your mental status is a good thing. Not being aware of it would point to a psychosis....

Anyway, all of these things went away for me as quickly as they came on...except for some lingering anxiety, which is tolerable.

You obviously are aware that it is the illness affecting your brain and you're doing all of the right things.

Klonopin and paxil saved my life at that time. I was able to discontinue the SSRI but still take Klonopin every morning but that is to help my numbness, tingling and head pressure.

I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I see you reaching out here everyday and my heart aches. I know that this is so unbearable and that all of your energy is caught up in these 'feelings'...

I'm proof that it can and will clear up. Hang in there friend. If you need to talk, feel free to PM me....as i know that you're going through more than you disclose in your posts.

been there,
Feelfit

I have psych symptoms that come and go. I have the hardest time at night. It has been so bad that I was anxious about taking my anxiety meds. I started Xanax, which has helped. And I'm also trying hypnotherapy, which is also helping.

I do think it gets better. Although I know it's hard to remember that in the middle.

Lyme, Bart, possible Babs
Currently on IV Doxy, Bactrim, Zithromax, Nystatin, Mepron
Been on nearly every antibiotic since 10/09

About 60% improvement. Dizziness, air hunger remain.

Putnam,

I'll say a prayer for you.

The mind stuff is the most difficult.

Try to distract yourself with some activity and tell yourself this will pass. It will eventually pass.

Do lots of deep breathing. Oxygen helps.

How long have you been on IV?

Keep us posted.

Hey there,

Hang in there and give those meds a chance to work, some of them take up to a month to reach full effectiveness. :)Hugs!

6 mos of rocephin. Did a double drip today rocephin and zithro. Have an appt with a llmd psychologist today. I only took .5 klonopin so she could see what is really going on instead of my being calm/rational. Wish me luck. I know there's no answer, but something has to give soon.

It will get better. This is my 4th week on lamictal and LLMD says that I will start to notice improvement in another 2 or 3 weeks; so give it time to work. It might take a couple of months. I think we started on it around the same time.
