I was the sorest ever when I started bartonella treatment, but I was on Levaquin. After six weeks, I started feeling better. I took epsom salt baths and coffee enemas daily.

When you say you have been on it almost a month, that makes me think of the lyme 28 day cycle.
Around the 28th day of any med, you often experience a bad herx due to lyme's reproduction cycle, they believe. There is a lot of die-off when the bacteria is reproducing, because that's when the antibiotic is most effective.
So, do things to lessen the herx like drink lots of water, eat lots of lemons to cleanse your body of toxins, and stay on the anti-yeast diet.

I had to take something for it, it was one of the few times during treatment that I did. I also took Vicodin.
Epsom salt baths helped, too, and I took those first to see if they were enough.

TF, but this is bart meds so does the same apply?
I will stick with that anti-yeast diet.

Makes sense why I feel so crummy.
I thought that rif was only for bart..
Which year did you get that from? 2008? i'm going to go look myself and see what else I can learn from this.

Yes, that is 2008--the latest version of the Guidelines, found here:
An easy way to research the Guidelines is to use the "find" box and type in the word you want to find. For example, type in "rifampin" and it will take you to every instance of the word in the Guidelines.
If the "find" box isn't already on your screen when you bring up the Guidelines, type Control+F and that should bring it up.
I use "find" all the time to get answers for people. It is so easy and so helpful!!

When two of my young children started rifampin, they would say that "everything hurts" for the first 2 weeks. I would guess the pain should get better after about 6 weeks. That's when the behavior started getting better in my kids. It was the drug that cured my one son's 8 month headache.
