When my Quest test came back IGM positive (over a year ago), it indicated that it was a reportable illness. However, we did a follow-up through Igenex, and I started seeing LLMD instead of neuro who ordered the test. How do I know if it was ever reported and if it was followed up on if it was confirmed as a lyme case (my neuro isn't sure if she believes it's lyme)?

- Since the neurologist who did your test didn't know if she "believed" it was lyme, it probably was not reported - as they do not consider IgM positive to matter. That was my experience in Oregon. Totally discounted. We know better, though. -

The CDC doesn't care. Mine was CDC IgG positive (8 bands) and the doctor didn't report it. I called the CDC and they didn't care that it wasn't reported. They told me that if I wasn't happy with my doctor to find a new one.
