I have been coughing for the last 3 or 4 weeks most of the day - a very dry cough that sometimes makes it harder for me to breathe. It also creates additional chest pain from what I already feel on and off throughout the week.
Is this just some random virus that is coinciding with my lyme? Or a new lyme symptom that has developed? Of course I can ask my LLMD this week but was just curious if anyone else has experienced this.
When I had a dry cough before (many years ago before lyme)after I had recovered from a head cold and the only way I could get rid of it was with a steroid inhaler - since I guess I had a virus-induced asthma. But I hear that steroids are not good for lyme so is an inhaler to be avoided?

I had a dry cough for 5 years - cleared up when I started being treated for lyme and co. maybe yours will clear up too?
