So I started taking 400 mg of Doxy per day. I am on my third day and have not experienced the Herx reaction that most people talk about.

Nevertheless, I feel like I have improved mentally, I feel that the brain fog that I have been experiencing for many years is finally starting to lift. Is it too soon to be getting better or am I simply experiencing the placebo effect? The only drawback that I have noticed with Doxy is that I get more tired at night.

I never herxed on Doxy alone or when I added Doxy to other abx combos, just started feeling better little by little. On about the 4th day I felt better and then after a month or so, more dramatic improvement.

That's great! If it keeps up I would seriously doubt a placebo effect.

Most herxing begins on Day 4 though. (jinx)

PS>. Make sure you are eating plenty of food with the doxy and NOT lying down for AT LEAST 30 min afterward.

I don't believe in the placebo effect.

And doxy does not always produce a herx.
