For the last several months, my BP is 118 / 70 and Pulse is 75 after I have been sleeping. Then late afternoon and into the evening it is 85/ 56 and pulse is 90 to 103.

I have noticed recently that if I get up after sitting awhile. To go to another room or for what ever. My legs feel with a heavy to almost numb, also I feel like Im going to faint fast.

Could this be PAD? And why only later in the day and or evening.

And the last thing I want is another pill. Ive had severe adverse problems from some. I really would prefer Tai Chi / Breathing exercises.

I don't know, Annie. Mine is the opposite.. LOW in the day then gets higher in the evenings.

I think it's "normal" for the heart rate to go up if the BP goes down. The heart is trying to compensate for the low BP.

Hey YOU, I will find out which part is causing the low and we can swap trade and call it good and regular. Knowing that is not how it works in the real world. I wish we could make it work in our world.

When mine drops even if Im sitting down. I have a hard time staying awake. Its then that I get up and walk around.

Then I say almost like a pretend chant HAPPY THOUGHTS HAPPY THOUGHTS out loud. Then both of my cats just get up and want to play right out of the blue. They start running and racing around. I have know idea what THEY think I am saying but they like it.

Plus Saber is the one that will come over to me and paw and paw and paw just prior to one of my seizures. And that helps me to prepare and be ready, which can even cause it to be a bit milder. Not every time but alot of the time

Hang on to those tutu's too.

Everyone's BP varies throughout the day. It usually is higher when we first wake up due to our natural sleep wake cycle and the release of hormones.

Feeling faint upon standing could be due a further decrease in your BP. When you're checking your BP, are you always in the same position? Either sitting or lying down? Position can make a difference.

If you have a low BP when sitting and then lie down and take it, it should go up. If your sitting and it is already low, and then stand up, it is possible your pressure is dropping further and your ANS is not kicking in to bring about the needed rise in BP.

My BP normally runs low....90/50 usually. When I was having adrenal problems mine would drop significantly upon standing and it took a while for my body to compensate.

Are you also drinking enough fluids throughout the day? Could play a part.

I have come across a lot of people with "fibro" who have complaints of leg heaviness and numbness as you describe. Maybe it could be related to the lyme?

With PAD, your pedal pulses would be very weak or nonexistent.

I don't really know either but am just throwing some ideas out there and would ask the doc. Good luck.

When faced with pain you have two choices....either quit and accept the circumstances, OR make the decision to fight with all the resources you have at your disposal.
