Has anyone had any experience with bright red blood in their urine? A bladder infection has been ruled out and I am waiting for a CAT scan with contrast on Monday.

Could it be yeast?
If urine is dark, might want to check out Babesia.

No, all that was tested. Have you ever heard anything about Babs and kidney troubles?

I've had several kidney stones, antibiotics seems to help them work their way loose.
Definitely want to see someone if you have blood in your urine. I've learned when I have stones and when it doesn't match those symptoms. Better safe than sorry and kidney's aren't something to play with.

i had that few weeks ago, it was due to an ovarian cyst... they found it with ultrasound doppler, no need for a catscan...

This is frightening! Yes, I have had this several times over the last 4 years. After all tests through my urologist repeatedly came back normal we came to the conclusion it could have been from babesia.
Make sure you get a cystoscopy, etc. To rule out other issues though.
The last time I had this it occurred along with a full on babesia relapse. My llmd said this is a pretty rare babesia symptom.
Feel better!

Thank you. Of course, now that I have the contrast scan on Monday, it has totally stopped. Tues. ER visit they did a PT/INR blood test because I am on coumadin. It was a little high, 4.73. Wed. ER visit they did a CAT scan, no contrast and said there were no masses, stones or growths and PT/INR was down to 2.43. Thurs. GP visit was "Go to a Urologist, PT/INR was 1.87. Fri. Urologist did a scan into the bladder and we saw the blood coming from the right tube leading to the kidney. Now Mon. is CAT with contrast.
I believe it has to do with Babs. I have not been able to treat it because my Bart levels are so high that it has to be addressed first. But I think the Babs is the reason my clotting issue is happening and now this bleeding. Every time I try anything for Babs I wind up spasming out.
