Generally I am better but the hot flashes (with mild sweats) are worse. I can have them 4 times a night. I always wake up a minute or so prior to one. Seems strange that my body knows what is going to happen when my mind doesn't.
So is this herxing and common with treatment or does it mean the treatment is failing?
Does anyone know why babesia causes hot flashes? I think someone said it is the red blood cells bursting. I can't find any information.

Good question. I get them also since I starting treating babs. I just feel very HOT at night (whereas it used to be all day). I honestly think its a herx. I suddenly have a lot of babs symptoms that I didn't have before. If the treatment wasn't working I don't think it would make me feel any worse or better.
