a woman i know told me that her LLMD told her that he thought she had a problem that was genetic that was causing her to not be able to eliminate toxins properly, so it was hard for her to get better from lyme. Has anyone heard of such theories? I havent read much about it. She is taking something by Byron White to aid in this.

Yes, some people have a difficult time detoxifying. If they get lyme disease, they have to do treatments that help to remove toxins from their bodies. Otherwise, they get very sick from all meds.

I had a friend who could not detox. By the end of her lyme treatment, she had bad reactions to all foods but 5. So, her inability to detoxify made her sensitive to many foods.

She went to an alternative practitioner who detoxified her and in 2 months she was the happiest woman on the planet! She emailed everyone about how great she felt.

The doctor told her he found evidence in her body of a flu shot, a tetanus shot, etc. that she had never detoxified from years ago.

He practiced ayurvedic medicine.

I don't know much about that type of medicine. But, it is not uncommon for a person to have difficulty detoxifying. It is believed it is related to genetics.

See page 13 of the Burrascano Guidelines for a brief discussion of products used to take toxins out of the body--cholestyramine and Welchol pills.

So, this is not a problem that cannot be overcome by any means. People can still get well from lyme even with difficulty detoxifying. They will just have to take additional detoxifying aids.
