It is not supposed to reduce the absorption/bioavailability of any medications. Very small amounts are used in all kinds of tablets, capsules, and even powdered medication to prevent clumping and ensure even dosing.
If you look at the Doryx prescribing information you will see that mag stearate is listed as the second to the last ingredient.
