Hi Tricia!
I wish I could answer your question. Are you seeing a LLMD?
I know that painful soles and shins can be Bart.
Hope someone with more knowledge can help.

Could also be just carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel syndrome. If you change your sleeping position, and use a wrist splint periodically, could clear up. I would go see a certified hand therapist, occupational therapist. Just FYI. (this is my profession. ) would checking into.

I have a lot of inflammation in my wrists due to Lyme & co. When I am having flares (or off meds, as I am now due to low WBC), they are really sore. Also, any repetitive motion at all, such as using a screwdriver, really inflames it.
Sometimes it starts in my palms, like someone is driving ice picks down the center of them into my wrists and forearms. Sometimes it travels down the undersides of my arms to my elbows.
I've had testing, etc., but it is not carpal tunnel. It is "carpal tunnel like," but it seems to improve greatly with treatment.
Good luck. And I second cht girl--wrist splints really do help if you were them a little. Just don't wear them too much. I take them off as soon as I feel relief.

I too have had years of hand/wrists pain and sx. I've never had it in the palms though.
I can remember when is was so bad in all fingers/bones and up to my wrist. There was even months early into this that my fingernails even hurt.
It felt like someone was taking a hammer to each nail and the pain would shoot up my arms. I've always wondered what was making my wrists and my ankels feel like I had rope tied around them and someone that tightening it tighter and tighter?
It's been very rare over the years to see others mention inflammation/pain in wrists from a strong tightening sensation. Ankle pain/inflammtion I don't recall anyone else describing in the same manner at all.
I've never had obvisious swelling in wrists or hands. Even though I'm years into and away from all abx...these sensations do return but rarely now.
Five years ago it got so severe that I started wearing wrists/hand support at night. I had realized that due to pain I had actually curled my hands during sleep. So changing sleep habits was key to getting good blood flow into my hands.
I wore the hand/wrist supports for months until I finally changed the sleep habit. It's funny but my last thought before sleep is are my hands fully opened and extended? Then I'm gone. aaaaaahhh
These days I do associate this sx more with lyme flares. TG it's no longer daily. I guess the bad guys moved to another territory????
