Saw Osteopath Thursday and today. Both days, I had Cranial/Sacral therapy.

Dr. says my CSF is all locked up and he unjammed some things.

My head is killing me from every direction. Lots of CNS symptom flares, fatigue, malaise, emotional, etc.

So, Dr. said I could have a "Healing Crisis". I was skeptical, but heard such good things about this type of medicine, so I took the plunge and I do feel like I'm Herxing.

Can it be ?

it seems like on Lymenet, EVERYTHING causes a herx sometimes. [Smile] So probably yes. However, WildCondor who used to be here with lots of experienced was adamant only meds caused them. Who knows.

Cranial work sets toxins of every kind in motion; i.e. microbes and toxic metals and whatever else has found a place.
And I learned that all of these have to be addressed right away. Surprised that an osteopath does not point that out and at least have you swallow a few grams of chlorella and binders to keep them from being recirculated and reabsorbed.

Now is the time for antimicrobials, antimetals, etc. Maybe you should ask him/her what you should do. I assume he is somewhat familiar with Lyme Disease and that not everything can be explained away with the "healing crisis". There are things you can do about it, but he/she at least should give you some guidance.

Take care.

Yes, it can cause herxing............ Drink plenty of water and rest the next day or two.

It definitely does get better as you get more treatments and things start unjamming.

In the beginning my husband could only handle about 1/2 hour per treatment. He can now handle an hour or two. And he feels okay afterwards, not "cooked" like he did at first.
