I have been on doxy for the past 30 days and noticed that the vaginal redness that I have been complaining before gradually disappeared.
Unfortunately tonight I am experiencing some of the old complains and it is very discouraging.
I am feeling a pain in the left side of the vaginal lip. There is no itch, only pain. The
skin looks very red with visible red spots (5 sm in diameter). The spots are not clustered . Neither are different on touch.
The veins between the vaginal lips are not green but very brown like bruised. When I touch them they are very painful.
The whole thing feels like an outbreak . What I don't get is weather the rash and pain are caused by the Lyme or something else.
The only thing that helps me is if I put cold compress. This kind of stops the pain but don't
remove the bruising look of the veins which tend to stay there with weeks (after the flare episode is over)
My doctor have seen it but can't give any explanation. I have had numerous swabs sent for
culture, tests for Herpes and HPV and all came negative. I am so confused. Any one here
to have similar symptoms? Heart about red spots rash that is painful on touch?
Thank you! I appreciate all the responses!

Maybe try some anti-parasite protocols (herbs or drugs)...? I believe that there are some parasites that can live in the vaginal area. I have never had any doctor who wanted to address this issue but I do believe it can happen.

Do hot compresses help?
Do you have sores on the mucosa? Some autoimmune reactions can cause sores both in the mouth (oral mucosa) and on the vaginal mucosa.
LED light therapy may help...look into the SOTA LightWorks.

Carol- I never tried hot compresses only cold ones . Why do you think hot compresses will work?
I don't have any sores or blisters on the mucosa (on the vagina or in the mouth)but only redness and what appeared to be white plaque, which my doctor tested and is not yeast.
What is interesting is that the plaque I talk about is linear and in the upper end looks like spiral. Also it can't be removed in any way.
I have talk with my doc about parasites but it seems to me his knowledge are limited in that
area. The only parasite he tested me for is pin warms. It came up negative

Parasite testing is often inaccurate. You might want to just try an herbal anti-parasite treatment. They are inexpensive & you will know in a few weeks if it's something you need to treat.
Usually, if someone gets worse after taking an herbal formula - it means there's a problem that needs addressing. It's not always the case but it's pretty easy to "provoke a response" & see if it does anything.
I had vulvodynia type symptoms for years... like over 10 years & the anti-parasite treatment made a world of difference for me. It's taking time but it is working. I would have never suspected parasites in 1 million years.
I believe that some of the trickier pathogens that we are dealing with may be chimeras - so, they may have parasitic components that most doctors would not suspect. The anti-parasite treatments may not be a 100% cure but they have been helping alot of people.
That's very weird about the "plaque" you mentioned. Sounds like something Lyme related but we just don't know. We also don't know if the standard treatments will work.
It's pretty easy to try a herbal anti-parasite formula to see what will happen in a few weeks. If it makes you worse - it's generally a sign that it's working. Eventually, I started feeling better after a couple of years.

Meadow, I suggested hot compresses because in my experience of treating sores and infections, this has helped healing. But since I don't know what's causing the problem, this suggestion may not be right. If hot compresses help, it's because the increase blood circulation is helping the cells to heal.
If the cause is something that needs to be "killed," you could try colliodal silver cream or allicin capsules.
Silvadeen cream used to be the thing to use on burns, to prevent infection. A search at Amazon.com for silver cream brings up several creams that have excellent reviews. (But not Wright's Silver Cream, as that is for cleaning silverware.)

- You are taking plenty of probiotics, right?
This topical ointment can bring some relief:
Califlora Calendula gel -
and also a good Goldenseal Myrhh Salve (at Mountain Rose Herbs).
If you shower with a hand held shower, turn the water pressure WAY down before rinsing that area. The water pressure of shower can damage this tender tissue.
Soaps, too, can damage. Be gentle. -

Do a search on topical Colloidal Silver. They use it in the hospital on open wounds and us Lymies use it orally at times if muster up the courage.
It is supposed to be a good topical antibacterial.
Others use it to fight ear and eye infections via topical droppers.
