My Western Blot (lab corp, not igenex) was still negative and all of the co-infections still came out negative.

My CD57 went from 44 to 53... I've had a slight increase in feeling better too. Whether they directly correlate or not, I don't know.

I do know that the cd57 is not necessarily directly reliable (sometimes low in people without symptoms, sometimes normal in people with symptoms) but it's the only thing I have that shows any change, as of right now.

We are continuing another month of doxy and she said if I don't feel any change after that month, we would discuss upping the dose and/or adding another abx with it.

I'm ok with that... my stomach has been kinda "meh" lately, so I'm happy with staying the current course for the time being. :-)

No positive bands at all?? LabCorp will never find a coinfection. Even coinfection testing from Igenex is most often negative.

You need to go by SYMPTOMS on the co's.

Any chance you can get a Western Blot from Igenex?

I agree. Igenex will will give you more info.

Ask to retest (with Igenex if you can).

I got a positive result on Labcorp but the was AFTER taking antibiotics for a month.

For IgM, Labcorp ONLY TESTED 3 bands (I did show as CDC positive because I had 2 bands).

For comparison sake.

Igenex TESTED 12 bands for IgM. Lots more info there. 7 band were positive but I was CDC negative on that test, go figure (Igenex positive).

Hi sparkly,

I agree with the others, Igenex is worth every penny.

More bands are tested.

Do you have an LLMD? How long have you just been on doxy 200 mg a day?

Hey guys,

Do I ask my doctor for Igenex or is that something I have to do on my own?

Greta, I'm on my 5th week of doxy.

I do not have a llmd, but am very happy with my dr. She will test me for whatever I ask for, if it's available to her.

But she's less concerned over a positive test than she is with the fact that I'm making progress on treatment. (Which I am glad of... because most doctors would look at my tests and say I didn't have lyme and write me off).
