My doctor prescribed me a muscle relaxer that works great for putting me to sleep and it's actually making me sleep better but can't use it during the day. My muscles still hurt during the day so does anyone know of a muscle relaxer I could take during the day with my OxyContin that won't make me sleepy?

Are you taking a good quality magnesium supplement? That's the best thing for muscles.

I second Skelaxin as non-drowsy m.r.

- Sadly, many of the Rx muscle relaxers can be really hard on the liver or kidneys and that can increase pain and muscle irritation in the long run. Be sure you are drinking LOTS of water and taking good liver / kidney support so as to possibly minimize this consideration.
MAGNESIUM, though, is my go-to muscle relaxer. Other minerals help, too, and I like to get those in my greens powders (chlorella, gotu kola, stinging nettle).
The herb, STINGING NETTLE seems to calm a cytokine storm that is often part of a herx reaction. Also of help to soothe muscle contractions. Very nutritious (when muscles have nutrients they need, they are more relaxed and work better).
