Hi,

I am finally tired of the anxiety I am dealing with from Lyme, herx, Bart...whatever. Can someone recommend a dose to start with? Does it depend on weight? If so, I weigh about 135 lbs. We have 1 mg tablets.

Thank you!!

Not sure if it goes by weight... probably to some extent.

.5 may be enough for you .. start low and try to stay as low on it as you can

Standard dose for generalized anxiety d/o may be more then you need. You could try .25 - .50 mg once a day and see how you do.

Just be aware that interdose tolerance builds quickly in some people - in as little as 2 weeks.

Xanax has a very strong peak and short half life so it will be in your system very quick and out quick.

Thank you. I am worried about starting it but need something. L-theanine does not work any more. Neither does 5-htp.

Start low and see how you feel. You will know by how it works in your system- everyone is different.

Hope you feel better.

I'd start as low as possible. .25 should help, rebound anxiety is pretty bad when it wears off sometimes so a higher dose might be worse.

You may want to dissolve it in a water bottle and try it that way. Slower, controlled intake.

I forget the mg, but I have the smallest and take half of that.

Another thing you might want to try is Relax-O-Zyme by Enzymatic Therapy. It works for me and everybody I have shared it with has found it worked for them, too.

Another thing you may want to try is B vitamins.

I notice a big difference in my mood and stress level when I take a B complex.

i broke my pill in 1/4s and it was enough for me. that was years ago before I knwe I had lyme and co, and before I got worse with my illnesses.

at first it helped, and I only took as needed, which for me meant when I was completely desperate since I hate take synthetic drugs

that bottle of 10 pills lasted me about 4 years! then when my really bad lyme symptoms broke loose I tried taking it again and I couldn't. now it is listed under my most severe med allergies becasue I actually halucinated and had all kinds of other terrible symptoms in my body and mind!

just be careful and only take a tiny bit to see. I thnk my diseases are whta made it work TOO strong for me. even at the tiniest dose

Chamomile tea can help. My ND gave me a anxiety herbal tea which is equal parts hops, lavendar, chamomille, and passionflower which is good. GABA can help. Cal/Mag formulas at night. The homeopathic pulsatilla, and progressive relaxation exercises. Good luck
