It's been 3 weeks since i had a lyme test sent out to igenex. I've been so depressed because for years now i seem to always have a headache.. Went to a neurologist and got mri's, normal.

For few months now i'm always so tired, i always feel achy especially after waking up, my jaw always is sore, and i always feel like ****.

Also, my stomach seems to always hurt and i've been taking nexium but i don't now if it is helping.

I feel restless a lot too, and it feels like i can't get a good breath like my chest is always tight.

And i've dealt with what seems like an off, weird lightheaded feeling.

I got tested for lyme at my doctor's but it was an elisa and negative. I just hope this isn't just anxiety or fibro.. I got tested for celiac and blood tests which are also normal.

I'm afraid i'll always feel this way, does anyone have any advice? I have been taking all these supppements too which don't seem to do much at all. [Frown] i have been on 20 mg celexa for 2 months also..

So I guess you haven't got your IGeneX results back yet. When you do, let us know what they are and we'll help you interpret them.

Your symptoms sound like Lyme.

ELISA tests often come back negative.

Fibro can be Lyme.

Many tests come back normal when we have Lyme.

You won't always feel this way - you're on the cusp of discovering what's going on -

Out of it for some can mean low thyroid which causes low metabolism. A good Lyme doctor will do a thorough blood test to check your systems and supplement accordingly.

Like I personally tested low T3, went on Armour thyroid and felt present again as my metabolism sped up.

Lyme loves the eyes. We're all different when it comes to treatments that work - I'm able to stop all Lyme eye symptoms by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory juice that can be found in health food stores and online. I like the Mango-Xan version as it's the most tart.

You can study here about Lyme disease - like read the stickies at the top of the Medical Questions section, read through the 2008Burrascano guidelines, use the Search function at the top of the page to type in any word or phrase and archived threads will come up. Just keep in mind we're all different as to what helps us.

Just read your post again. Ehrlichia, a co-infection, can cause constant headaches, so I suggest you google symptoms for it and see whether you think you match any of that.

And if anyone else knows which infections can cause headaches, please post - thx -

Not yet i have to call and ask the doctor. I didn't ask to see the further results i asked for t3 and t4, but previously my tsh was at both .7 and few weeks before at 2.22 and she said it was totally normal. I'm just afraid i have like chronic fatigue syndrome and will never feel normal again. I didn't ask to get cortisol checked because i read doctors can't accurately test that with blood.

Here's a thread I started awhile back. It's about chronic fatigue syndrome and what can mimic it. The first link in it is about treatment and how to get well.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - A Roadmap for Testing and Treatment
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=127210;p=0#000000

I had the doc test for everything on the Stanford test requisition sheet for CFS. I have 13 co-infections along with Lyme. No wonder I feel tired!

The doctors just aren't testing the right things. There's a reason you feel cruddy.

I feel your pain! I have been suffering migraines for years and now behind my right eye hurts. I have had numerous scans, sinuses checked, dentist, etc and they cant' find anything wrong, on top of a bunch of other stuff going on. My thyroid is normal too. I also tested negative for the Elisa test. I have an appt with an LLMD on Tuesday hoping I can get some answers. Looking forward to seeing your lab results.

Have you tried going gluten free to see if that helps? Celiac is not as common as gluten intolerance, but they both have the same result.

Also try upping your magnesium.

I've been supplementing magnesium and i have not tried to cut out gluten. If i do how long should i do that? And are there really all these different viruses besides lyme that can cause chronic fatigue..?

The reality is that none of us can say for sure, but you absolutely have the right to be suspicious.

Here is my story & you can see how it relates to you.

-Bit in 1995

-By 2000-2001 headaches

-2002-2004 more & gradually worsening headaches & just always tired. After sleep I may feel slightly energized for an hour, but quickly fade.

-2005- Headaches feel more like brain burns. I just kept away from everyone because I was too tired mostly.

-2007- Head burns & travel to neck. Neck is sore & burns on & off constantly. Start getting tummy aches now constantly & for days (lower abdomen burns). When I put my cap on, my head felt like it was restricted with circulation.

2008- Suddenly got a sickly feeling and some strong stomach pain & it felt like cancer. Colonoscopy revealed a polyp & it surprisingly went away after procedure.

2010- Episode of shortness of breath & heart palps.

2011- I could not have a hat on me for more than 1 min without feeling so restricted in circulation.Heart palps & unwell feeling. Then comes IIH & severe head pressure & my hunt.

Now for my daughter:
-Bit by 2 1/2

-No symptoms until she was 5 or so

-She started saying daily my tummy hurts

-Then came nightly on/off headaches

-By 6-7 then signs of tiredness. Some joint pain, bottom of feet pain & migratory pain.

-By 8 years more headaches & tummy aches, despite 1 year of treatment. At times sore & stiff necks & pains on various parts of body. On & off saying I do not feel well.

My niece is very similar.
