I am not sure doxy is going to work. I've been incredibly sick and depressed after four days of ONLY 200 mg of this stuff. I had to stop, and slather myself with magnesium which was definitely part of the problem, but the other side effects ( herx reactions?)were really difficult. I was bright red and itching at night,insomniac, felt nearly suicidal, bad headache, no short term memory, just nearly completely lost the day, as if I was dreaming the whole thing.

Can't take any penicillins, allergic.

Can't take keflex, cross-reactive.

Can't take cipro or levaquin, I'm still recovering from 14 days of fluoros and I don't even know if I'm out of the woods with those.

The only thing left that I can actually get is Septra/Bactrim, and I don't even know how effective that is for Lyme. I'm also not sure if I trust my source of those.

What's the next best ABX-free protocol?

How about Biaxin or Ceftin? Doxy is very hard to tolerate. Some can manage OK with Doryx .. that is a brand name of a form of doxy.

As for abx-free.. there would be Rife or herbs .. Buhner comes to mind.

Then there's the treatment in Germany with the photons.

I'm getting slightly desperate here and almost charged a rife machine on my credit card the other day.

The photon thing...not quite that desperate yet.
