A couple days after I had a bad bad reaction to liposomal artemisinin and stopped all drugs, I had a weird thing happen on the toilet. I have never seen this before. I don't have a gallbladder anymore and hadn't been taking my binders either, I was doing a total washout.
So after a normal number 2, I passed really an enormous amount of fluorescent yellow stuff. This was not diarrhea; it was clear fluorescent yellow liquid, nothing else. Like road sign yellow, yellow. Or like a highlighter pen.
I actually asked a doctor what it was and what he told me was that it was " nothing to be concerned about," and it probably happened because I was not taking my colestipol. That's unlikely since I've only been taking it for about six months and like I said I have never seen anything like it. It's so weird I can't even google it.
Bilirubin? Did I just kill A LOT of babesia? That would be the best news. The worst would be that I have hepatitis or something now. Thoughts?

This happened to my friend from Lymenet, and her doctor also said not to worry. We both thought that statement was odd. However, yellow liquid from the bum does seem rather abnormal.
I wish I had something more insightful to share, but just in case it's helpful to know you're not the only one, I thought I'd share the info with you.
Hopefully other people can help out more.

Thanks, me.
My career these days is to observe my body doing inappropriate things.

This can be caused by extra bile salts passing into your intestines, especially since you don't have a gall bladder to store the bile salts.
The binders you were on before were likely absorbing extra bile salts, so you weren't seeing these "results".

I think that's what the doctor thought, Phoiph. It's just I've seen lots of "results"before, just nothing that festive.

I hope so blue. That would at least make this past week worth all the misery. Somewhat.
I'm officially a crazy lyme person who hopes every time some weird, random or miserable health problem occurs I'm "killing something."

Jordana...
Yes...be careful interpreting everything as a "die off".
There is a very good explanation for what happened... Google "bile salts" in combination with your lack of gall bladder and discontinued binders, and see...

Well that's okay too; as long as it's not hepatitis or liver damage etc.
My thought was that art is VERY bitter it could have just stimulated things a bit too much.
I'm fine now, it was a one-night-only show.
