My wife is having intense back pain in one spot -- in the mid-back about 2-3 inches to the right of the spine. Not sure if that is common with lyme.

She's used creams and gels that previously helped dull the pain but they are much less effective now. She is currently on the Beyond Balance BB2 drops recommended by her LLMD. Not sure if this is causing it. Not on any antibiotics as she doesn't want to go that route right now.

She previously had this pain and then it went away but it seems to have returned.

Any recommendations for pain relief? Advil helps slightly but not enough. She's also taking magnesium, but that's providing any relief.

Thanks!

If I get mid to lower back pain, I take a Potassium Citrate pill (in a pinch any Potassium pill is OK,- potassium from Walmart is OK) and drink lots of water and it resolves in minutes. The pain seems to happen if I have

not been drinking enough water. I think it has to do with a potassium imbalance. By far the gentlest and most satisfying potassium that I've taken has been Thorne Potassium Citrate.

Something else that is helpful is Mega Hydrate. For a while, I was drinking a ton of water but it didn't curb my thirst. Now, if water doesn't seem

to quench my thirst, I just take a Mega Hydrate and after that, the water is satisfying and quenches my thirst. I always take a Mega Hydrate before bed.

If thirst is an issue and your wife decides to try Mega Hydrate, when I first tried taking them, they were too strong for my system. I "saw stars" - had weird visual issues and had to drink water and go lay down for a while,

so I had to halve the capsules by putting half of the contents of each capsule into an empty capsule and take only that. Then, they were fine. To do that, you need to

order 00 size empty gel capsules - plus a Cap-M-Quick which allows you then to encapsulate your own capsules (about $10).

Anyway, you might want to try taking potassium when there is back pain. Start out with the Walmart Potassium capsules. Relief is minutes away. Good luck. 😊

I buy bulk herbs and encapsulate a lot of my maintenance herbs. It's way cheaper. I also make my own homeopathics from bulk herbs and brandy.

I have been looking for ways to help my son who has chronic pain. He has not tried the PEMF or K-Laser yet.

Here is some good info which was sent to me and might help:

"The only pain treatment that I believe has the potential to reduce pain over time is the PEMF machine - pulsed electromagnetic frequency machine. Physical therapists and chiropractors may have one.

A coil emits EM pulses near the body and that helps restore EM energy to the body which helps it heal. Yes, that one is a healing machine. They first used it on racehorses to return them to the track more quickly."

Also look into K-Lasers (used in some chiropractors offices).

Here is a link for more information:

Infrared laser therapy treatment helps reduce pain, reduce inflammation, and enhance tissue healing — both in hard and soft tissues, including muscles, ligaments or even bones.

These benefits are the result of enhanced microcirculation, as the treatment stimulates red blood cell flow in the treatment area. Venous and lymphatic return is also enhanced, as is oxygenation of those tissues.

The infrared wavelengths used in the K-Laser allow for targeting specific areas of your body. The K-Laser is unique in that it is the only Class 4 therapy laser that utilizes the appropriate infrared wavelengths that allow for deep penetration into the body to reach areas such as your spine and hip.

In order to find a K-Laser provider, here is a link (just put in your zip code):

A good chiropractor would be my first choice. They can diagnose it and treat it and usually take insurance. Hope she gets some answers!
