She said that he has not heard about the use of Benicar for Lyme and so he would not prescribe it.
I explained to her that there are several adult Lyme patients using Benicar and are amazed by how much better they feel.
She asked me to ask you....
How long have you been taking it?
What other meds are you taking?
Are you taking any other antibiotics besides minocycline?
Would you be willing to speak directly to the doctor? (I hope you don't mind, I told her you would).
I was wondering if you would be willing to call and speak to the nurse directly?
She seemed very interested in this and was trying to brainstorm with me how she could get the doctor to look at this more closely.
I asked her to ask him:
1) If he thought it could hurt my 13 year old daughter.
2)If it could not hurt her would he be willing to do a trial with her to see if it makes a difference....like a week or two.
She promised to ask him these questions and get back to me.
I would urge other parents to contact Dr. J and ask him about Benicar. Perhaps if he has other parents asking about it, he will take a closer look at it.
Thanks for your help Scott.
Marie
