I've had some really weird symptoms from Lyme but this is just too weird. When I went for a CBC today, the nurse noticed that a vein in my forearm (by the elbow joint) and on my hand between the index finger and thumb pulses to the beat of my heart. She told me it was as if she could take my pulse on multiple locations on my body. She was intriuged, to say the least.
I also noticed that when I I feel certain parts of my body such as my nose, groin, etc, I can feel this same pulsing. Does anyone else have this? Any nurses have an idea is this is an aboration or not?

I have this too. The strongest is in my stomach then the next inside my ear. I do have it in my hand, too.
The only one that concerned the doctor was in my stomach area because he said that was Aorta. Tests didn't reveal anything though.

Wow! I have a stomach pulse too! I thought it was just some weird thing I had, nice to know others have it too. My doctor (PCP) was also worried about it when he first found it about 10 years ago, wanted to do an ultrasound, but my chiropractor said it was okay. My mom has one, too.
I also feel my pulse all over my body, but especially in one certain part of my back (pretty much where I had one of my spinal taps), mostly after I've just exerted myself so the pusle is stronger but sometimes just raondomly. Weird stuff.

I get this too. Actually thought it was normal. Strongest is stomach too, but have felt it other places too.

I've had this in many areas too. Sometimes when I am sitting perfectly still I can see the hair on my head from the corner of my eye moving to the beat of my heart.
How weird is that?

Hi all,
Have been working in Vancouver for the past three weeks, helping one daughter paint, etc. and then move.
As for taking my pulse, I have always had this "quirk" and just thought it was normal, never mentioned it to my doc.
After reading these posts, checked and sure enough can read it on right side of belly button, quite strong; can read it in several spots on shins, ankles, several spots on arms, spots on top and side of head, well i guess I am one big pulse. Is this dangerous, should I mention this to Dr. M in Hope. My kids have been able to take my pulse just by looking at my forehead sometimes. Wonders never cease! Take care.
