I was feeling so great today and then BAM!! I have a fever :-(
I have been on my doxy for 2 weeks now. About half of the time i end up with a low grade fever by the end of the day. This was one of my main symptoms pre-doxycycline treatment, so its not new.
Im feeling sooooooooo sick right now. Its like a rain storm comes in out of the blue on a clear sunny day.
Can anyone relate?

It was several months on antibiotics before I noticed them recede. Now I only get them occasionally.

all day low grade fevers like I have now when i herx are my bartonella..I can tell the difference that way!

Do you find that if you rest, you have a little control over the fevers? I have quit working out because i feel if i push myself it brings them on.
Im leaving for New York tomorrow and i usually love to walk around the city. Im wondering if its going to make a difference either way, if i walk too much? This is so confusing.
Do you guys "push" yourself through the day, or if you want to go out to dinner at night? I have been staying home a lot because i feel so bad, but then, i start to get so depressed.
I know these are difficult questions, but i just wondered how you deal with it.

The fevers went away after I was treated for Babesia.
I find that if I can lie down for even a half an hour in the afternoon, I feel much better in the evenings. Try to get as much rest as possible.
talk to your llmd. if you have the symtpoms of htem..ask to be treated. that's how I got better. had symtopms of bart and babs and went on abx for each at different times , gradually got better, and now here I am about 95% better after 2 years of treatment.
never, never had a positive test ....dont' wait for that magic paper..it may never come...doens't mean you don't have it.
Lisa
sounds like babesia to me and classic at that.
Ignore the tests! Please!
I received my SPECT brain scan results which were normal but im still waiting for the MRI results. Strange that my SPECT was normal because i have MAJOR brain fog.
I think my LLMD is very aggresive with her treatment. So, if my tests come back negative im sure she will go ahead and treat me based on my symptoms, if not, i will find someone who will.
Is babs really hard to get rid of?
I will read old posts and research it.
Thanks,
Jordan

In my honest opinion ( and 99.9 percent of research) YES
If i do have babs, is it possible to just treat it with orals? Mepron and zithromax?
My LLMD said if i had lesions on my brain that i might need IV treatment. Since i still dont have my MRI results, i still dont know about possible lesions.
This is so hard. I was hoping that the doxycycline would help with my fevers, but so far, i seem to be having MORE fevers than ever. Im wondering if this could be a herx reaction?
Bumming here,

in a rush, so just post this real quick
fever can come with:herx, babesia, bartonella, lyme, yeast
AND antibiotics
Rifampin and amoxy are two drugs that have fever listed as side effect, as does, i believe, doxy. ( Of which I am on- kinda)
There was something earlier you said that made me jump babesia at you. Will look back in a bit when I get home
Its the end of the day- no more work YIPPEE
Take care
