Any thoughts on this?

Had an abdominal ultrasound that showed "very dense echogenic liver-- consistent with fatty infiltration". Anybody ever have this?

My llmd said this is usually seen in someone who is a heavy drinker and very overweight. I am neither.

She is confused and thinks it might be caused by the abx. Now I have to have a liver biopsy--not looking forward to that.....

Yep, my husband had this. They discovered it before we knew he had Lyme. He had a hepatitis at the time (now we know it was Lyme hepatitis). His bloodwork was a mess. He got 2 weeks of antibiotics for it but it took many months to get better.

The ducks were suspecting cancer first and gave him 6 months to live. Then they did a liver biopsy and changed their opinion to PSC, an autoimmune disease that would kill his liver within 3 years.

This was 7 years ago and even without Lyme treatment his blood results became just perfect after two years and the ultrasound is normal.

Hope this helps.
