i've taken ibuprofen on occasion for some time to improve headache sx, and would frequently noticed that along with alleviating the pain, my thought processes would clear up slightly.

i had always thought that this were just due to the pain relief, however i've just within the past couple of days started experimenting with taking ibuprofen in the absence of headache and have noticed the same sort of effect.

has anyone else experienced this? does this effect even make any sense to anyone. i don't want to start obsessively popping ibuprofen, but any relief is encouraging.

any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I've had the same results with excedrin. But I thought it was mainly the caffeine that made things more clear. I know it has that effect on well people.

I had been told by an MD to take Ibuprofen, however, just recently in my research on candida and leaky gut syndrome I discovered that Ibuprofen can make both conditions worse.

For that reason, I have stopped taking it.

If Ibuprofen is decreasing your brain fog, it may be because the brain fog is caused by inflammation.

This is very common in Lyme.

Just be careful how much you use. Ibuprofen can cause severe stomach problems if used in high doses for long periods of time.

In the short term, it can be very helpful in relieving many symptoms that are associated with inflammation, including some herx symptoms.
