Welcome to Lyme Net
. I have not heard of that antibiotic but your dr. was talking about a herxheimer reaction. This occurs when you kill spriochetes. They release toxins and cause either a worsening of old symptoms or some totally new ones. Herxes tend to occur 3-4 days after starting a new abx. and then in 3-4 week cycles. Not everyone experiences the same thing. I didn't have a herx reaction, to speak of, for the first 2 years of treatment.
You probably haven't been on the medication long enough to be able to tell any differance. How long have you been infected? How long does your dr. plan on continuing your treatment?
You've come to a great place for support and answers to questions. All you have to do is ask and someone will be around to help.
Good Luck and Take Care.....Terri
Geez! I just noticed this post was a week old and never got a response
Here I am bragging about the board and hadn't noticed. I'm sure it was the title of the post that caused the lack of responses. Sorry!

Your dosage is right.
How long did he/she give you the medicine for?
