I've heard two bad things now that bode poorly for the infected. But maybe they aren't true. Maybe they're just myths.

Myth #1?
--------
One thing I've heard from the get-go is that there is no cure for Lyme Disease. The antibiotics reduce the number of parasites which reduces the symptoms. But the parasites are always there unless the disease is caught in the first few weeks.

Myth #2?
--------
A recent post suggested that Lyme Disease can be transmitted through sexual contact. One doctor even suggested that kissing can transmit the disease.

If these two "myths" are true, then we're talking about "safe sex" for the rest of our lives. One consolation I had, until now, is that I didn't have to contact ex-girlfriends and suggest they get tested. On the flip side, I could tell potential girlfriends that this disease isn't contagious. What can I say now?

Myth 1, is myth.lyme is bacteria not parasites,no infection no worry.

Myth 2, is true as far as Iam concerned sexual contact possible but not unless you are breaking out and a womans ph is different than a male's.Hard for her to give it but I dont think its so hard for a man to pass it along while infected.Lots of if's!

But if you get treated and a year or so later after trreatment stops and you stay unbitten by any more ticks orhave no symptoms, Have at it My theory anyway
