Hi Everyone,
I was diagnosed clincally with Lyme Disase 7 years ago and treated with 3 weeks of rocephin but not diagnosed for 1 1/2 yrs. I then went on orals. I had been off antibiotics for 3 years and doing fine always had a bad time of year but always pulled out of it without any meds. this year not so..I've been sick since Jan. lost 30 lbs, I recently had my gallbladder out 1 1/2 wks ago. But I was sick before surgery and was so nervous about it and I am much worse now..my main symptoms are..extreme muscle weakness..can't walk well at all..left arm pain ..front of neck pain where your glands are..it feels like someone is pulling them down..my throat feels like its closeing..horrible taste in my mouth its dry but wet too..extrem.chest pressure mainly left side to where it takes my breath away..wake up with it go to sleep with it there all day off and on. My hands are weak. No sleep a few hours..I take ambien but not doing much at all..I basically don't function. When I was in the hospital my right eye dropped and it was hard to talk..that still comes and goes..they said I didn't have a stroke. Mainly my conern is I'm not convinced its the Lyme...It feels different than it has in the past..I was extremely ill 7 yrs ago but it felt different. I am at my wits end. I'm supposed to go to a clinic to find out for sure..probaly a spinal tap which I have had before and the Lyme never showed up..I'm just so confused. I did see my Lyme doctor about 4 weeks ago and was on Zithromax for 3 weks..then got diarrhea and he said to stop ..then had surgery. If anyone has any suggestions I would be so grateful..I am at my end of the rope and don't know how much longer I can last.

Thank you so much and God Bless

Did you call your lyme doctor since the surgery?
My son relapsed after his sinus surgery.

Have you been tested for co-infections? My chest used to hurt alot until I was treated for Babesia. Alot of other things you mentioned, like the fatigue, insomnia, etc. were better after the Babs treatment. Just a thought...

It sounds like lyme to me. I am on zithromax too. And doxycycline. I take about 8 acidophulus pills at night before bed. I get them at vitamin world. The refridgeratable kind. Zithromax is a good antibiotic. I don't have any digestive problems. Good luck to you. I truly feel for you, hang in there. My symptoms are alot like yours I have Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I never tested pos. on any lyme tests accept bowen. I hear they are not reputable. But I did test pos. for RMSF. I took 4 Igenex tests all were neg. and 1 was equivical.

Everyone has taken too many anti-biotics and has fungal infections that have spread thru the body...morphing, branching, making cysts, and tracts...I've had good success with three months of Lamisil 250 mg - once a day. I'm waiting on a shipment from Mexico, so I'm out for now. May have to go to the doc-in-a-box and get a prescription and pay big bucks. That stuff is expensive...$100/month.

I know what you are going through. If you have a traumatic experience, - surgery, an accident, a death in the family, etc. Lyme will flare up with a vengeance.

It has happened to a lot of people, You should contact your Lyme doctor, and get back on antibiotics

And this time take probiotics. You should take those capsules or pills a couple of hours before or after the Antibiotic.

I found that Nature's Way, Once a Day, Primadophilus worked the best for me.

You can ask the people at your local health store - just be sure to get the acidophilus that is kept in the fridge - Those are live culture and are best to replace the good flora in your gut that are being wiped out by the antibiotics.

I find that a couple of Benadryl at bedtime is a great help when I have trouble sleeping.
It is what is found in all the over-the-counter sleep aids.

I sure hope you can feel better soon,
Ann - OH

LisaE,

Your symptoms sound identical to mine except you can substitute right for left.

Sounds like your lyme has come back. Mine was triggered by severe stress.

I would talk to your LLMD about another abx if you can't tolerate the Zitrhomax.
