"Moderately severe, global, coritcal hypoperfusion with heterogeneity. The hypoperfusion involves the white matter."

Impression: "Moderately severe, global, cortical hypoperfusion with heterogeneity.
This perfusion pattern is consistant with encephalitis or vasculitis such as from infections e.g. Lyme disease, autoimmune causes or secondary to some medications."
Anyone else have a similar scan?

Piercethedrk,

Yes that is about what mine said only mine said just Severe on the first one and just Moderate on the second one.

Did you have yours done at Columbian Pres. in NY too?

That's pretty much what mine said..but in severe catagory when I first had it done.

I recently had another, after over a year on IV and multiple orals.

Awaiting the results..

My son's was off the charts. The LL neuro Doc K in CT calculates the indices, which for my son were 8, anything more than two is significant.

At the time he suffered from psychosis and cognitive function of near vegetable state. He had one four months into IV that was significantly improved, but still not good.

He will have another soon..

This is proof of an organic cause to cognitive/neurologic symptoms.

I also had neuro-psych testing done with an NY LL..

It was consistant with the SPECT findings..exoremely detailed in data showing the neurological effects as reactive to brain infection.

Are you going to do that testing as well?

Mo
