A few days ago I had a pretty bad accident. I was securing a mattress in the bed of my truck when the bungee cord slipped off the tie-down and smacked me in the face. Luckily, I had my glasses on or I would have lost my eye. The frame of the glasses made several cuts around my eye. I had everything xrayed and there are no broken bones.

The NON LLMD suggested I get a tetanus vaccination since my last one was 10 years ago. He said it would not interfere with my lyme. But he is not an LLMD.

Aren't all vaccinations preserved with mercury? I am trying to detox from mercury.......So I refused the vaccine and am trying to figure out if I really need it or not.

Anyone have one while they had Lyme and did it make your lyme worse?

Hello, I am not sure about all vaccinations but I spoke to Dr. C's nurse last week about my daughter's vaccinations and they told me to go ahead with them all.

I too was worried about how it may affect Lyme. I want her vaccinated but I do not want her to get sick from them! So hopefully all is well with them.

Hope you recover quickly from you accident!

I would take the risk rather than get Tetanus. My great aunt died of Lockjaw. Her body became rigid and her mouth closed up completly where she could not even swallow. Her legs could not bend. She could not sit or stand but could only lie down with her back bowed up several feet into the air. It is a horrible way to die.

True. Mercury is not good for you. But Tetanus is not good for you either.

Robi,

Not only mercury, but vaccinations stress the immune system. If this happened to my mom (the Lymie of the family), tetanus vaccines wouldn't be considered.

First of all, it's puncture wounds you worry about, not cuts (unless they're very deep). Second of all, what the heck are the chances that you had tetanus bacteria on your glasses? Were they dirty? Covered in manure? No? Then I'd have to say that you're not very likely to develop tetanus -epecially if they cleaned out those cuts for you.

I would vote "no" (emphatically) on the vaccine, but the decision is yours.
