Hello Lymies,
It is no option for us to visit a LLMD in the States or elsewere. But maybe we can send e-mails for advice. I don't know if there are any LLMD's who will work this way, that's why I ask for your help.

Nic is on abx (Zithromax/Flagyl) but I want some advice from a LLMD to make sure we are on the right way and especially to help him thru the Herxes. The family-doctor who described the abx doesn't know anything about LD or a good treatment, only what we told her. But I'm not a LLMD either, I'm not even a doctor, so please help!

Nic is on abx since the end of februari and it looks as if his herxes are continu from the beginning 'till now. He wants to take a break in his treatment for about two weeks, hopefully he will get a break in the herxing aswell.

Thanks & Greetings from the Netherlands,

Ingeborg

From the HUGE number of replies you have recieved, I think the answer would be "no".

I think it would also be difficult for a doctor far away to treat Nic there. There are so many strains of Borrelia. The doctors have learned to treat on a more regional basis.

I have heard of a European Lymenet. I don't know how to get there. Maybe you could find a doctor closer to you. It would probably be better for Nic that way.

Also, try to find out more about the coinfections that are local to your area. He may need treatment for them as well.

It seems that coinfections are one of the major things that is keeping us Lymies sick.

Have you tried posting under "Seeking a Doctor"?

I wish I could help more. Getting proper treatment is one of the real dillemnas with this disease.

Good Luck,

Corgilla
