Hi,

I've been on the meds now (Ceftin) for 40 days and I see some big improvements...not where I want to be but I am seeing improvements. My new symptom is tngling in my face on both sides of me cheeks by my jaw. Anyone else have this?

I'm also wondering how you all deal with it? I am not a person who is inbed all day, I am living my life and do things but I don't feel well most of the time. What bothers me the most is the anxiety. I worry constantly about every pain, heart palpitation, etc. that I have. Right now I have that "weariness" foggy dull pain feeling in my head. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for the disorientation to go away? I feel like I've come a long way since I started taking the meds just 40 days ago but I just want to live again. Do any of you ever feel like you just can't relax? I go to bed and toss and turn most nights then I feel like crap the next day because I got no sleep all night. My husband says I get myself all worked up and get my anxiety up and I can't relax but honestly I don't think about feeling bad...I just think about how bad I feel and that I just want to get better. Am I going to get better? I'd love to hear commments from anyone. Thanks for letting me vent you guys...I know I've vented on more than one occasion.

One other question...when you herx for the time that you do, wether it be a few days or not, when you are not herxing, do you feel normal? I don't even know if I herx...I know I feel REALLY BAD at times and that when I hit the one month time I was on meds...I fell TERRIBLE so I guess I am.

I was bitten and had the rash in Oct of last year so I know I had it 7 months before getting treated. Am I going to beat this thing?

Does anyone have the anxiety that I am describing? I have what feels like heartburn too..do you have that?

I'm not having a terrible "bad" day...just not a good one. My days are as TERRIBLE as they were in the very beginning or before I started meds but they are still bad and I want my life back!

Thanks for the support you guys. I can't wait to hear from you.

Melissa

Your story sounds like mine. I was bit in Nov. 2003 and didn't get treatment until April 2004. I too wonder if I will get my life back. Like you I am doing better.....well I was until my LLMD added another antibiotic to my regime. Now I feel worse again. I am oping that means the antibiotics are working. I also take lots of supplements and get alternative treatment.

It sem to be 2 steps forward and one step back. ABout now I could use the 2 steps forward.

Several months ago I was anxiety ridden! Even felt suicidal at one point which I have never before felt. I am not feeling that way recently. I think I will get better.....I think I will have to work very hard at it.

I would like to address more of your concers but I am so tired now I have to get off the computer.

Email me if you'd like.......and yes I believe you and I and most here will get better....you do ave to believe....it really effects your immune system......

peace,

robi

I know exactly how you feel...I've been there and still am there. I worry if I'll ever get better....my LLMD gave me Xanax for that and it has helped. It really relaxes you and gets your mind off the constant worrying. I also had the face tingling due to Minocyline. I couldn't stand it..I couldn't sleep...it would bother me. I switched to Doxy and it stopped...thank goodness. Hang in there...

Hi,
I am so sorry you are having such a sturggle as I am too. First of all, don't every let your primary doc pull the standard bull**** they do about the anxiety. I have it too, and I bet there are many others like you and I. I have it so bad that I go to bed every night dreaming that my mothers going to leave me or she has died in some terribly tragic way. I have not had your symptom exactly but I have had something similar. Do you drink a lot of diet sodas? I had an incident where I felt tingly all over and pinned it to the aspartame in the diet drinks. Good luck to you and take care

Hi melissa,
I am going through a similar ordeal - no facial tingling but I did develop some new neuro symptoms when I switched meds 6 weeks ago.
I just posted something about this a few days ago and everyone seems to think it is normal and not to worry.

You may want to ask abotu changing your regimen though. When I presented my symptoms to my LLMD he changed things around a bit.

I don't have the anxiety - i have the opposite - very lethargic and don't care about anything. just want to sleep. i have to force myself to cook/clean/work. I could just sleep and sleep and sleep.

I have to wonder if what you are experiencing is a side effect of one fo the medications?

Anyway, hope you are feeling better soon.

jessie
