Can lyme disease be sexually transmitted? I just found out that I may have lyme diease and my husband read somewhere that it is sexually transmitted? I just want this clarified? Can anyone help answer my question???

From what i have read here yes it can be. It seems to be the way some partners have got it.

No one knows for sure. Lyme is a spirochete just like syphallis. So there are some questions.
The bacteria has been found in semen, breast milk, urine, blood, tissue, and vaginal fluid.
The CDC says it is not an STD. But the CDC also called HIV "Gay Cancer" so what do they know??

It's not known for sure, but some Lyme doc's are seeing high numbers of infection in sexual partners, higher than might be expected. At this time, it seems like caution might be the wisest course.
There is some thought that it might be most likely to pass from male to female, but nobody knows.
