I like juicing but, am not sure if carrots are too high in sugar to be included in yeast free diet. Also was wondering if metimuccil contains yeast (sugar free kind), and if it is considered to be a grain, if someone is trying to avoid, grains, wheat etc.
Dr. Burranscano says no flax seed oil. Does he mean only while on abx? I am off abx, and am considering using flaxseed powder instead of metimuccil for fiber as it is healthier.
Would like some advice if anyone knows. Is flax okay for us, even off abx?
If anyone could suggest a good homemade juice that would be great too. I used to use a lot of spinach, but was told spinach can pull calcium from the bones.
Thanks

I juice most days. I always use celery and add a variety of cucumber, squash, broccoli and often a small beet. I've just started adding a clove of garlic to the mix.
I think my juicing is one of the best things I'm doing for my health.
My entire GI system really needed some healing.
I really noticed a difference in my energy. For instance, if I juiced at lunch instead of making something to eat, I would have energy to go outside and do something.
If I eat solid foods, I am extremely tired and just don't feel as well. It was as though it took all of my energy to digest food and juicing just bypassed that altogether.
I found that with juicing, I would go as long between meals as I did with eating and there was no hunger pains or anything. I always thought a person needed solid food. But my chronic face pain put an end to that so I was more or less forced to the juicer and am so thankful for it.
I have been juicing primarily fruits as there is such a bounty of fresh food right now. I've read quite a few books on juicing and there are some great sites on the internet that give wonderful ideas.
I just used whatever I had in the fridge to start with and went from there.
As far as ground flax goes, I have integrated a drink in the morning called "fibresmart" and it is ground flax, and has other great things in it including glutamine.
I would like to know why flax is a no-no?? Maybe flax seeds, but the other forms?
It all works well together.
I am not on antibiotics at the moment and doing everything I can remember to do to just build up my system after the assault of the treatment.
Good luck!

It also took me a while to learn that the fiber is not just dead food. Yes, fiber is no food to us, but it is food for the microorganisms in us - usually the good ones. They make butyric acid and other very valuable things out of it that we need for our healthy functioning. If you are juicing, you are extracing the high nutrient content from the vegetables and you are throwing away the fiber.
I was taught the "modern" way of juicing and the only way to juice is to make a glass of vegetable juice very morning, take the fiber and put it in a jar and eat it throughout the day. It is incredible what it does to the microflora. The measurement of the butyric acid content in the stool goes up like 1000% within a few days and the amount of beneficial bacteria, how quickly it nurtures the good bacteria and the balance between good and bad is shifted very rapidly.
But for this you have to go organic making sure that the stuff is actually organically grown and not processed any other way before it gets to you. I am very suspicious of the organic pear I recently had that still did not spoil in my fruit bowl three weeks after I had put it there. It got to be a "let's see what happens to it" kind of thing, and it literally did not spoil even during the hot summer days after three weeks. It had the 5 digit organic label on it ----- it probably was radiated in some way -- I haven't had time to figure this out yet.
So be very, very careful how you do it.
I have found organic to be expensive but have noticed it is going down in price, I think cause the demand is going up.
Laz, I don't know how much juicers are these days I have had mine for 12 years, and got it from a friend then. There are many out there.
