I think I spelled the flagyl wrong but I think you all know which med I mean. I was wondering...are these meds the same? When I type in flagyl in yahoo it comes up as Ceftin on the list.

They are different antibiotics.

Flagyl belongs to the class of abx called
either nitro-imidazoles, 5-nitroimidazoles, or just plain Imidazoles, I'm not certain.

Ceftin belongs to the abx class called
Cephalosporins, and I believe, are derived form the class of abx, Penicillins.
