Should I take all the supplements at a different time to the abx?The only thing being that I don't eat all that much anyway.
Ideas appreciated,Sue.
I had nausea and vomiting for 6 months...it was horrible...I lost 65 lbs in the process. Way too much to loose not only a lot of weight, but, got me to looking very sickly in the process.
The only thing that would stop my vomiting was Promethazine suppositories at 50mg. Sometimes taking up to three of them per day. It's given by prescription and if you are vomiting, then it is not hard to get from your doctor.
It does make you sleepy, but, not having to hang over the porcelin throne, it is worth a few sleepy moments during the day.
Best to you and this is the only thing that ever helped me during those horrible 6 months.

I find dairy products like yogurt and ice-cream help with the nausea. I only use sugar free because of the yeast diet, and lean towards yogurt because I can get plain yogurt with no artificial sweeteners.
If your supplements include minerals, you should be taking them at least 2 hours before or after your abx. Minerals can reduce the effectiveness of abx. It might also help with the nausea to space things out.
There are alot of folks here that know alot more than I do about all this but here's my little piece of info.
Are you taking Doxycycline? I'm taking Adoxa a very expensive brand name of Doxy. I'm able to take it on an empty stomach with very little stomach distress. According to what I've been told its because the generic doxy is very acidic and therefore particularly hard on the stomach. Apparently the Adoxa is closer to neutral in pH.
Anyhow I don't know if that's of any use to you.

I've had lots of nausea and stomach pain lately and have been coping thanks to lots of Ginger (tea, chews..) as well as the homeopathic remedy Lycopodium which my ND prescribed.
I know youre on Rocephin too, so be sure to keep a close eye on the gallbladder (if you still have one).
and make sure you're taking tons of probiotics...but a couple hrs away from abx.
hope you feel better
PROTONIX worked great for lishkas stomach, worked on her headache possibly too!
When on Doxy the only thing that really helped my tummy was drinking A LOT of water after taking it. Same for the supplements.
Hope you are better very soon!

Anywho on the nausea part, it i wearing me down. Am not on any abx. Started alot more severe after bite, not tick, got encephlaitis. Since then must have stirred up co-infect.
Have tried ginger, teas, Cola, may work for you cheap, ask for at the pharmacy. We used to use it all the time in Hosp. hink they thined it out now though.
Phenergan,(Same med as you have). I am on daily gives me brief time to eat or drink vitamin shake I make up.
It is really getting quite waring. Ginger previously when had mild problem helped. Not when it is this bad.
Could also try opening up leaf of aloe. Can buy most anywhere. It helps someties. I suck it right out, little slimmy, coats stomach.
Know it is exhausting. So wish maybe 1 of these other things may work.

just a thought...get to the route, not just treating the symptom..

1. crystallized ginger
2. ginger tea
3. Reeds Ginger Beer (non-alcoholic) has lots of ginger...enough to burn your throat which is what you need to alleviate the nauseau
4. peppermint tea
