Im on my third week of treatment on Doxy, Ive had ups and downs the whole time, but consistently Ive had blurred vision. Does this go away? I dont know. thanks in advance. O by the way, it gets worse if Im tired or if its dusk.

"chime"...It might not be the Doxy. My daughter has had many eye problems before Doxy. Her eye Dr. says that many of, if not all of her eye problems are caused by the Lyme disease.
She has dry eyes, floaters, blurry vision and double vision.
Also see Tincup's post of last week? on eye problems.

I had blurry vision for 6-9 months (off and on). I think it was a Lyme symptom--not an abx or herx symptom.
After a long time on Zithromax, I haven't had any vision problems for months now.

sorry to say but blurry vision is one of the most common symptoms of LD. It comes and goes with me and can be either the rt or lt eye. It makes it very interesting b/c you never know which it is going to be. I do notice it gets worse at dusk with driving and headlights. Maybe this helps some.

Dullchime,
I agree with the others. I was diagnosed 4 months ago with Lyme.
The eye symptoms that I experience are floaters, burning, blurred vision and they started BEFORE the Doxy. They are Lyme symptoms...
Mine come and go and I cannot say that they are specific to doses or treatments.
As I understand it... ALL symptoms should improve IF receiving PROPER treatment in the PROPER amounts and treatment for ALL co-infections.

Yes and it is also a side effect of doxy. Not only it being a side effect, doxy in the RIGHT amounts CAN pass the blood brain barrier, and do all kinds of funky things
to your brain and whatever else is attached to it
Have you been getting headaches also?

I had a couple of headaches but nothing really bad. This sounds kinda weird but I really dont get headaches. But when the good times are GOOD I would feel completely normal if it wasnt for the blurred vision. This is the weirdest thing Ive ever had to deal with -- 3 days of good stuff then SLAM crappy again. Like many others you tend to wonder if your ever gonna get better again. Tell ya what, Im never gonna forget this time in my life.

Ive had the blurry vision from the beginning. Its been 6 yrs, but ive not had any real treatment beyond 4 wks, so dont know if it goes away. Also worse in morn for first 1/2 hr and at night, or in any dim light, but bright light is hard on my eyes too lol go figure
