I'm having a hard time with Zithromax- don't know what it is but if feels close to death. I guess it's a herx of sorts- but it's real bad the first day I start it. I'm on Zithro 4 days and then switch over to Flagyl the other 3. Anyway, my LLMD/NP is on vacation and her nurse told me to cut bacdk on the Zithro and just take it at night for a while and then bump it back up to 2x's a day. I think I should be used to it by now- been taking it for over a month- and a half- I don't want to cut back on the dose cause I figure it'll slow the progress down even more, I've been treated now for 3 months and don't feel any improvement. What should I do? Try Biaxcin- take shots- HELP!!!

Hi there,

I'm confused about your posting. I can't figure out if you've been on Zithro for just a few days or for more than a month.

Also, what are the dozes of Flagyl and Zithro that you're on?

I just complete a one month treatment of 400mb/day Doxy. Didn't do anything for me. Now I'm on 500mg Zithro and 750mg Flagyl. I take the whole Zithro in one single doze. The Flagyl is taken 3 times a day. I'be been taking Zithro/Flagyl for one day now. No reaction to it so far. No herxes, no improvement. Not that I expected this. But just telling you.

Michael

Hi Jobrien,

I would listen to the nurse until your LLMD gets back from vacation, if you are herxing....herxes can be very hard on a person. And if they go on and on it can set a person back.

Flagyl is also a very hard abx to take.
If you feel like death that really sounds bad.

It deosn't take me much to herx, I am on a lower dose of Zithromax/Plaquenil/Malerone, but I have been on meds long enough to know when I am herxing and not having a reaction to meds.

I hope you will be feeling better soon, keep us posted.
