Hi everyone!
I have been taking Doxy for two months now. So far all it has done is make me worse. Admittedly, I am not as horribly ill as I was the first month, but I am still worse. And I was struggling to take of my kids before the Doxy. I arranged for extra child care that I couldn't afford, for the first 2 months, in case this happened. Now next week is my last with the extra help. I can NOT extend it, and I can't manage without it. I'm terrified! How long before I start to feel at least like I did before the Doxy (which was bad enough, believe me!)??? Any replies appreciated.
Take care,
Beth

not to sound overly negative- but there is no how long answer

i took doxy for 4 mo. than because of the 2nd degree burns and insane stomach it gave me switched to minocycline- after a couple months got better for three days (i had three days where i was feeling good) than went downhill again- added zithro to the mino- no better, did various other abx, various other combos, no better, tried doxy again for a few months- no better- switch to metronidazole- no better-

added daily rocephin shots to metronidazole- started a couple weeks ago- starting to see improvements

no one can tell you how long it will take-
but if you think it will work, believe it will work and keep a really positive attitude than you'll shorten your time on it at least thats what i believe.

the question is- how long to continue after you are better so you won't relapse...

at least that is my question... i haven't really gotten any answers for that either.

i've already gotten better and relapsed once... i don't want to do it again
